Mountain Men Cohort
Welcome to the Mountain Men cohort of the H.I.V.E. This program runs from November 2024-May 2025. Every cohort in H.I.V.E. has different objectives and learning opportunities. You do not need to select all of the options in this cohort to get your credit capture. Although you are welcome to participate in all of them. Below you will find 4 options available to you. Options
Chinese with Bonds
Sydney and Josh Bond have offered to do a Chinese immersion experience with the boys in this cohort. Sometimes at their home, sometimes on the mountain skiing, and possibly other places too. This will be held mostly on Thursdays around 1:30-3:00. Though there will be flexibility here as we know priority for the boys is to be able to be out in the sun on the mountain.
Corner Cove Wellness

Corner Cove Wellness has just opened up in Morgan and this is an awesome and unique opportunity for you to learn and experience some alternative health modalities. They have graciously invited our cohort to come for 6 weeks and try each modality to see how you like it and if it is a benefit to you. These modalities include cold plunge, sauna, Oxygen exercise, Neurofeedback, and yoga. This is being offered on Mondays at 1:30. December 9, 16, 23, 30. January 6, 13. There is a waiver that needs signed and you need to commit to come to all 6 if possible. Avalanche Safety
Dodge building conference room and Snowbasin
This learning experience is designed to introduce key factors in understanding avalanche danger ratings, signs of snow instability and using rescue equipment. There will be two classroom sessions held in February 6th and 13th from 6:00-8:00. A field class will be held on Feb. 22nd to practice beacon use, probing and shoveling at Snowbasin. There is not a certification for this experience but you will go away with more knowledge to stay safe in the back country.

This class is being led by some of Utah's most experienced wilderness search and rescue professionals. The instructors are all professional search and rescue technicians and medical providers that use this type of training every day. You are in an elite group of students that are getting this amazing opportunity for free to learn from the very best in the industry. Classes are held January 9, 16, and 23rd.
